AWANA

Awana

AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
and comes from the Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:15: Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

  • This ministry outreach is designed to reach church and non-church children, lead them to trust Christ for salvation and grow them in enduring faith and service to God. Our teachers are church staff and church members that volunteer their time to be a part of this wonderful experience.

  • Our AWANA Club is for children 3 years old through 8th grade. We meet each Wednesday at 6:30 PM September – March.

  • Cubbies: Lots of fun and an introduction to God's word for preschoolers, Cubbies celebrate the spiritual potential of this age range by helping them develop respect and for God, His Son, and His Word. This encourages them to begin making scripture a part of their lives through parent-child activities.

  • Sparks: Ignites the curiosity of early K-2nd graders about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. Sparks is about building friendships through the gospel message and teaches children about Jesus through games and introduces small peer-group interaction.

  • T&T (Truth & Training): Answers questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ’s grace. T & T is evangelism and discipleship for 3rd - 5th graders, and leads children into a deeper relationship with God and teaches them to reach out to others through mission projects.

  • Trek: Challenges middle school aged youth (6th -8th graders) to consider their destiny in Christ and pursue it through life application of God’s word.

  • Learning and Growing with AWANA:

  • AWANA clubs teach the gospel of Christ to children from preschool through high school. Throughout the program, children are rewarded for memorizing Bible verses and completing character building activities. Younger children learn through games, crafts and puppets. As they grow, children are introduced to small group interaction, community outreach, apologetics and life application of the gospel.

  • AWANA offers fun, friendship and serious Christian teaching that supports the teaching children are receiving at home and at church. Living their faith can be difficult for children, especially as they grow. AWANA provides a comfortable place to learn and grow along with peers who share their faith. AWANA also reaches out to unchurched youth, providing them with an enjoyable and comfortable introduction to Jesus. AWANA is an excellent choice for parents who would like their children to learn Christian values while participating in a club.
